What are the Different Types of Cabin Classes
Traditionally, there are three travel classes on a plane, namely economy, business, and first class.
Economy Class
Also called coach or standard class, this is the basic travel class on any flight. Travelers are offered all basic facilities and services. They may be ideal for short flights, but the smaller seats with less legroom and the confined spaces may not be very comfortable when flying long distances.
Premium Economy Class
Some airlines classify their economy class into the basic economy and premium economy. The latter is like an upgrade to the former. The distance between the seats in premium economy is more as compared to standard economy. Premium economy passengers are also offered more menu options.
Business Class
This is the intermediate travel class between economy and first class. They offer a high level of comfort and at the same time are not as expensive as first class seats. Business class flights are popular with business travelers.
First Class
First class offers the ultimate luxury flying experience. From full flat-bed seats, luxury bedding, and a la carte menu to priority boarding and deplaning, and access to first class lounge, the perks of flying first class are many. This is the highest travel class on a plane, and thus the most expensive too.
